How it works

  1. The contest will invite entries across features 5 categories, i.e. Carnatic Vocal, Veena, Violin, Flute and Percussions (Mridangam, Ghatam and Kanjeera).
  2. Interested musicians can apply on this page by submitting all required information in the form below.
  3. The entries will be accepted from 1st June 2023 to 30th June 2023.
  4. The form will be locked on 30th June 2023 and no further entries will be accepted.

  5. The accepted entries will be evaluated by our talent screening partner Rhapsody Music Foundation.
  6. The contest team will then reach out only to the shortlisted musicians for details on performance submissions for the next rounds.
  7. The results of each round will also be published on the Facebook and Instagram page of HCL Concerts.
  8. There will be four such rounds to determine the winners of the contest.
  9. One winner each from Violin, Veena, Flute, two winners from Percussion, along with three winners from Carnatic Vocals will get a chance to perform for the reputed HCL Concerts platform.
  10. Please note that the submission of any entry does not guarantee that it will be eligible for the competition. Kindly read the Application Process section to know more.
  11. The decision of the shortlisted entries for each round and final winners will be at the sole discretion of the HCL and the official talent screening partners and judges.

Eligibility to apply

1. All amateur performers are eligible

2. An artist must be at least 18 years of age, and at maximum 30 years of age as on June 1, 2023

3. Entries not meeting this criterion will not be considered for the contest

Application process and rules for submitting application

  1. Kindly fill the form below with the required information
  2. Please make sure all information is correct and accurate
  3. The evaluation will be done on the basis of a performance clip to be submitted in the form
  4. In order to submit the clip, please record and upload this performance on YouTube and then submit the link to that clip in the form
  5. Entries will only be accepted if the submitted clip meets the following criteria

  6. It should not exceed more than 3 mins long
    • It must be audio and video
    • It must be on YouTube
    • The link must be public and accessible
    • Only 1 performance clip link should be submitted
  7. Any entries submitted with performance clips and links that do not meet above criteria will not be considered for the contest
